Bianca Stern

Bianca is the general manager of All Things Equal a café in Balaclava, Victoria which provides award-wage employment for people with and without disability in a positive, safe and inclusive workplace. Bianca points out that more than half the people with disability in Australia are unemployed: that’s a staggering 2.2 million people. All Things Equal aims to radically change that trend by providing staff with disabilities an equal chance to work within any cafe role; from serving customers and making coffee, to kitchen duties. Bianca says she’s on a mission to create a work model that can be replicated in other community. Her grant will mean that All Things Equal can create more employment opportunities for people with disability.
