Hannah Andrevski
When Hannah was on maternity leave with a newborn and toddler, she discovered there was no avenue in her hometown of Canberra to pass on good quality second-hand baby and children’s items to families experiencing hardship. With 8000 children living in poverty in the ACT, Hannah knew there was a high demand for second-hand items, prompting her to found Roundabout Canberra. Hannah has a strong philosophy of treating families in need with dignity. The charity takes donations of safe, high-quality baby and children’s items, and passes them on to families in need via a large network of social services and community organisations. Roundabout Australia has helped 5,000 children in the ACT and prevented fifteen tonnes of good quality items from making landfill since 2018. The grant will enable Hannah to keep pace with the growing demand for the charity’s services.
